Introduction

This modification to the narrative of Lost Mines of Phandelver leverages the young green dragon Venomfang as a master manipulator working to his own ends. This also supposes that Venomfang has matured to the point that he is 1-5 years away from becoming an Adult Green Dragon.

This is a further imagining of Venomfang as the real villain in Lost Mines of Phandelver, specifically how the various enemy factions tie together as a sprawling effort to gain power. Some of the groups aren’t even aware of one another, increasing the dragon’s role as a master of deception and victim of paranoia.
