Ryan C. Scott
I have an extremely common name. It’s like I got to Hollywood and my agent was like “No, no… that’s way too ethnic. Let’s go with something that sounds like a computer generated it.” So I have to use the “C.” to make it so you can find me searching on the Internet.
I’ve always tried to make a lot of things. Making things is difficult and fraught with emotional complexity as one succeeds and fails over and over and over.
At nearly 40 I’ve started to understand those elements of my life better, but it doesn’t make it easier really. You’re along for the ride. It’s not unlike
The Shining (the book, not the movie); everyone knows the hotel is haunted/a psychic beast, agrees that the kid has telepathy or whatever and then they still can’t stop what’s happening. Jack still tries to kill everyone.
In my finer moments I’m the Wendy, in my weaker moments I’m Danny, but regardless Jack is trying to murder me on behalf of the hotel the entire time.
Yeah that basically sums it up.
